Where do I start, this game was a rollercoaster of emotions, with frustration being the biggest one. First off this is a team (panthers) with 3 wins and Arizona needs this win to stay in playoff race. How can you not be mentally prepared for this game to be like a playoff game? What is with all the penalties in first quarter, the run defense was terrible, game clock management is way to slow, seemed like they was always up against the area of delay of game. This team is not good enough to overcome penalties, turnovers in your own end of field(not sure why J. Connor not in on play), not mentally tough and really not smart plays. Obviously losing James Connor and starting right tackle in game did not help, but not sure why as bad as Carolina defense against run, was not biggest part of game plan, it happened later in game but, seemed like this was biggest weakness to attack more than what they did . Having Trey Benson in line up would have helped when Connor got hurt ,but even if this team could have made the playoffs it was not going far. Defense needs addressed in draft and possibly free agency. There are times that when you scratch your head with plays and it makes you wonder what the players are thinking, like the punt late in game and Greg Dortch does not make the fair catch at the 30 yard line instead letting it bounce and roll back to the 10 yard line? Got lucky on the punt that hit Carolina player in the back, why is the TE sliding in to the ball and letting it hit him and almost a turnover! Coaches need blame also, Two players to Stop running back (Hubbard) and wide receiver(Thielen) in most situations, and team can not even do that to make it harder on Carolina to make plays. Hopefully BJ Ojulari getting healthy and Daruis Robinson getting more playing time and training camp along with new draft picks on defensive line can help and pass rush, and a wide receiver that can get down the field we will be better and smarter, this is a young team 2nd youngest team in the National Football League and they play like it. Still was a frustrating game to watch and see how they executed, if they won and keep there chances alive would have been nice to see how they would have performed, but with two games left and no playoff chances left how will they play last two games, and should you play Clayton Tune and evaluate some players on roster, last thing we need is someone to get hurt and put us in a bind next year(QB) and certain other key players, I know you do not want to just lie down and die but, must be in mind of the coaches, one play and next season could be in jeopardy???
